Kjband – live is the ninth kjband album. The songs were recorded live in the studio in the spring of 2016, using minimal overdubs. The kjband live20 songs are broken up into two 10 song sets. The songs are taken from all nine kjband studio albums, from the debut record, All I Want, released in 1998, to brand new songs from a yet unfinished new album. They are arranged chronologically by when the albums were written, except the last two songs in set two which are from the first album, like bookends. It is the best of kjband recorded live, featuring the most outstanding rockers and jamming songs.

The musicians are the same exceptional players from the Best Kept Secret album. The band features three excellent soloists – Kevin Presutti on saxophone, Chris Delis on guitar, and Gary Georgett on organ. They trade riffs and solos through each song, and it is high energy combined with tasteful dynamics. It is great to hear this top notch band rip through many of the older songs, breathing new life into these compositions and showcasing the excellent songwriting and consistency present in the kjband catalog. The jams are intense, and high energy – dancing music!

The album was mastered by Grammy nominated (in 2016 for Bonnie Raitt’s Dig In Deep album) engineer Kim Rosen from Knack Mastering. Though initially recorded in the spring of 2016, it was not finished until summer of 2017 as the Best Kept Secret album was completed and released first. It is available on ITunes, Amazon.com, Spotify, and the major streaming services.
